Native Sun Grown Expands Cultivation with New Five-Acre Field

Kamilche, WA — June 15, 2026 — Native Sun Grown (NSG), the cannabis cultivation operation owned by the Squaxin Island Tribe, has added a new five-acre field at its farm in Kamilche, Washington. The field will be planted for the 2027 harvest season and will increase supply for future product development.

The new field strengthens NSG’s role as a sun-grown cannabis producer and supports the Tribe’s long-term investment in Washington’s cannabis market. The added acreage will help supply existing brands, future product lines, and products available to retailers and consumers across the state.

The expansion also aligns with the Tribe’s recent acquisition of Harmony Farms, a licensed cannabis processor and manufacturer. As NSG increases cultivation capacity, Harmony Farms adds more ways to turn that supply into marketable cannabis products, including flower, pre-rolls, edibles, concentrates, tinctures, and other manufactured items.

“This expansion is about more than adding acreage,” said Daniel Kuntz, Chairman of the Island Enterprises, Inc. Board of Directors. “Native Sun Grown is increasing supply at the farm level, while our added processing and manufacturing capabilities create more opportunities to bring Squaxin-owned cannabis products to market.”

As the Tribe continues investing in cultivation, manufacturing, and distribution, Native Sun Grown will play a central role in supplying the cannabis needed to support future brands, product lines, and retail partnerships across Washington State.
